Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cypress for automated testing, API testing using Postman, and a strong sense of ownership over project quality. The role involves performing both manual and automated testing, ensuring security and performance testing, and collaborating with DevOps engineers to integrate QA into the CI/CD pipeline. A degree in Computer Science is required to ensure a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress for end-to-end web application testing.

·         Perform API testing using Postman to verify the functionality and performance of backend services.

·         Conduct manual testing to ensure pixel-perfect UI and adherence to functional specifications.

·         Take full ownership of the QA process, understanding the projects domain and context to write test cases that cover all edge scenarios and potential issues.

·         Collaborate closely with DevOps engineers to integrate automated and manual tests into the CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployment.

·         Ensure thorough security testing, identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring the integrity of applications.

·         Execute performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize application responsiveness and scalability.

·         Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility across platforms.

·         Maintain detailed documentation, including release notes, change logs, and bug reports, providing actionable feedback to the development team.

·         Work with the development team to ensure early issue detection and quick resolution.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

·         Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.

·         5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with strong focus on automation, manual, and API testing.

·         Proficiency with Cypress for automated testing.

·         Expertise in API testing using Postman, including creating and executing API test suites.

·         Strong experience with Git for version control and workflow management.

·         Hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with DevOps engineers to set up and maintain QA pipelines.

·         Knowledge of security testing tools and best practices for identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.

·         Experience in performance testing, optimizing the speed, scalability, and responsiveness of web applications.

·         Proven expertise in manual testing, ensuring both functional accuracy and pixel-perfect UI.

·         Proficient in cross-browser and cross-device testing.

·         Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.

 

Nice-to-Have:

·         Experience with additional automation tools such as Selenium, TestCafe, or others.

·         Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Lighthouse.

·         Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.
