Dynamics AX (DAX) administrator - Full time/Contract

Position: Dynamics AX (DAX) administrator
Location: Bangalore (Work from Office)

Key Responsibilities & Skills:
Maintenance of Dynamics AX AOS Servers:

·         Perform regular server reboots as needed to ensure optimal performance.

·         Manage and monitor services associated with the AOS (Application Object Server).

·         Conduct Level 1 troubleshooting and escalate issues as necessary.

Code Deployment & Automation:

·         Hands-on experience with the code deployment process within Dynamics AX.

·         Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.

·         Familiarity with Bamboo or similar deployment applications for efficient code management and deployment.

Batch Processing & Monitoring:

·         Monitor and troubleshoot batch processing activities, ensuring timely execution of critical tasks.

·         Investigate and resolve issues related to batch jobs to prevent disruption in business processes.

 

Batch Job & Group Configuration:

·         Configure batch jobs according to business requirements.

·         Set up and manage batch groups for optimized workflow.

User Account Management & Security Configuration:

·         Create, manage, and administer user accounts, roles, and access within Dynamics AX.

·         Configure security settings for user access to specific objects and resources.

·         Set up and maintain group security configurations to adhere to organizational policies.

SQL Query Writing & Database Management:

·         Write basic SQL queries to extract and analyze data, assisting in troubleshooting and reporting tasks.

User Ticketing System:

·         Experience working with user ticketing systems (ServicecNow is a plus) to log, track, and resolve user issues in a timely manner.

End-User Support & Troubleshooting:

·         Address user-reported issues and provide effective solutions or escalate when necessary.
Communicate troubleshooting processes and results to end users clearly and concisely.

Dynamics AX Security Architecture:

·         Understand and apply the security architecture of Dynamics AX to maintain a secure and compliant environment.

·         Ensure proper application of security policies across all system objects.

Required Qualifications:

·         Proven experience with Dynamics AX administration, including managing AOS servers, security, and batch jobs.

·         Strong understanding of Dynamics AX security and role-based access control

·         Experience with PowerShell scripting and using deployment tools like Bamboo.

·         Ability to troubleshoot system and user issues efficiently.

·         Familiarity with SQL and basic query writing skills.

·         Knowledge of service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

·         Familiar with X++ code / basic knowledge would be the plus point.

·         Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with end users and cross-functional teams.
